Voorbije zondag ben ik samen met Valerie en haar man Bert samen met hun kindjes Ben en Vic naar de Go Fast X Day geweest.
Go Fast is een van oorsprong Amerikaanse 'energy drink' die zich graag linkt aan extreme sporten en gezien hun naam ook snelle sporten, zoals de gemotoriseerde sporten. Samen met Yamaha organiseerde ze op en rond het parcours van Zolder de X Day.
Naast het feit dat motorijders op het circuit rondjes konden draaien waren er ook heel wat animaties zoals drifting, stuntrijden op de moto, rocketman (remember het vliegende mannetje van de Olympische Spelen in Los Angeles, 1984), het altijd boeiende bikini wash, trialdemonstraties, en daarnaast ook heel wat kinderanimatie. Tof dus voor Ben & Vic die maar al te graag op Quads rondsjeesden die op hun maat waren (met papa en mama mee op het zitje, natuurlijk). Ze lieten zich zelfs mooi beschilderen terwijl Valerie, Ben en mezelf ons konden te goed doen aan oesters en champagne in de VIP toren, mmmmm...
